It included personal chores, but also what to do with a body and a reference to “one round”.
Prosecutors say Mr Cassidy had a gun when he forced his way into Michael Caposiena’s Westmeadows home and shot him during a struggle. During the fight, Mr Caposiena stabbed Mr Cassidy. Both men died from their injuries.
Mr Caposiena’s girlfriend was also in the house that night and was injured.
The day before the fatal struggle, Mr Caposiena travelled to Shepparton to visit the son he and Ms Edmunds had while they were in a relationship, according to a prosecution summary.
Mr Edney said his client, who has no criminal history, is likely to apply for bail before the Supreme Court.
