A truck carrying alcohol has crashed in Sydney’s west this morning leaving beer sprawled across the road.
Emergency services were called to the M7 Motorway between Cowpasture Road and Elizabeth Drive just after 2.30 this morning after reports a semi-trailer loaded with beer had rolled.
The driver suffered a head injury and was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.
The M7 remains closed to Northbound traffic and motorists already on the roads are warned to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
Diversions are in place with traffic being moved onto Cowpasture Road, Elizabeth Drive and Wallgrove Road, to rejoin the motorway at Eastern Creek.
Southbound lanes remain open but a 40km/h limit is being enforced.
