Sydney: A light plane with two people on board has gone missing after taking off from northern NSW on a flight to Queensland.
Police say the single engine aircraft left Casino Airport about 2pm on Sunday and was due to arrive about an hour later in Boonah, south-east Queensland.
However the plane never arrived and the pilot couldn’t be contacted, with the aircraft’s last known location over Tooloom National Park on the NSW side of the border.
A search involving two aircraft and police officers on the ground had on Sunday night failed to find any sign of the plane.
