A man has died after his own car rolled forward and hit him at a recycling depot in the Adelaide Hills town of Woodside.
The 76-year-old Birdwood man, who was not an employee, was struck by his car at the Adelaide Hills Recycling Centre about 11:00am.
He suffered serious leg injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics but could not be saved.
They worked on him for about two hours.
The MedSTAR helicopter was also sent to the scene.
Police and fire crews were also called to the Henry Street recycling yard.
Major Crash investigators are at the scene.
Double motorcycle crash
Police, fire and ambulance crews are also at the scene of a serious crash where two motorcycles have hit trees at Brinkley, south of Murray Bridge.
Paramedics were called about 1:30pm to the scene on Brinkley Road, just south of Pearson Road.
Police said both motorcycles were travelling north when they left the road and crashed into trees.
The South Australian Government announced today it would introduce laws to Parliament to increase the minimum age for a motorcycle learner’s permit from 16 to 18.
Exceptions will be made for some teenagers in regional areas, and for 17-year-olds who already have a provisional car licence.
The Government has also announced a restriction on learner drivers under the age of 25 between midnight and 5:00am in line with laws for P-platers.
