A man has been shot in the leg in South Perth in the early hours of the morning, WA Police say.
The 39-year-old victim is believed to have been shot on Parker Street in South Perth between 3:00am and 5:00am.
He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital in a silver sedan which was later found and searched by police.
Police said this was “not believed to be a random incident”.
Detectives have asked members of the public who saw or heard anything to contact Crime Stoppers.
They have also provided a portal where anyone with dashcam or security footage could upload it for investigators.
Second man dies in ‘unrelated’ incident
In what police are saying is an unrelated incident, a man has died after possibly becoming involved in an altercation three blocks away, somewhere between the intersection of Harper Street and the Mill Point Bridge.
Police said a man may have been involved in an altercation between 1:00am and 3:00am, and was then taken by ambulance from his Atwell home to Fiona Stanley Hospital, where he died.
Detectives are also asking for any information from the public about this second incident.
