Although the couple walked the red carpet separately at the event, which is held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, it was the first soiree they attended together.
While the pair walked the red carpet separately, they were sitting together during the ceremony.
Morrone was spotted on television looking adoringly at her Oscar-nominated boyfriend as his One Upon A Time in Hollywood co-star Brad Pitt thanked DiCaprio in his Oscar acceptance speech.
The couple have kept their romance under wraps since they started dating two years ago, but in the last few months, the actress has been more open to discussing their relationship.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times in December, the 22-year-old model and actress said that she doesn’t see the big deal that she’s dating the Oscar winner, who’s 23 years her senior.
“There’s so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps,” Morrone told the publication. “I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
In the same interview, Morrone — who has generated buzz with her performance in the drama, Mickey and the Bear — said it doesn’t bother her to be in her boyfriend’s shadow because she knows it won’t be for too much longer.
“I think more and more now that people are seeing the film, I’m slowly getting an identity outside of that. Which is frustrating, because I feel like there should always be an identity besides who you’re dating,” said Morrone, who met DiCaprio through her stepfather Al Pacino.
“I understand the association,” Morrone added, “But I’m confident that will continue to slip away and be less of a conversation.”
And she’s not wrong. The star absolutely owned the red carpet, even without DiCaprio by her side.
